Vertical Lift Modules (VLMs) maximize storage space and streamline the retrieval process with a sophisticated system. Items are stored in trays positioned at least 1.5 inches above the contents of the tray below, optimizing space. The VLM’s computerized control system locates the requested item and activates the appropriate tray or shelves to bring it to the retrieval opening. An elevator mechanism carries the trays to an ergonomic level for easy access, reducing physical strain on operators.
The VLM connects to ERP systems and can deliver preprogrammed lists, with an LED bar guiding the picking process. Safety is ensured with a safety curtain that prevents issues during operation. After items are retrieved, the trays or shelves return to their original positions, maintaining efficient and organized storage.
