Welcome to the second edition of What’s Happening At Wecon Systems “WHAWS” newsletter for 2024. Spring is in the air! With the official arrival of the Spring season we are seeing longer daylight hours and warmer temperatures. Baseball is back and it is playoff season for Hockey.

Autostore
AutoStore™, founded in 1996, is a technology company that develops orderfulfillment solutions to help businesses achieve efficiency gains within the storage and retrieval of goods. The company offers both hardware and software capabilities and the AutoStore technology is interoperable with other third-party solutions.
Wecon is now proud to announce that they have recently received the factory training that qualifies us to be an authorized AutoStore Installer.
Did you know that Wecon has been manufacturing our own line of Gravity Flexible Conveyor right here in Canada! We offer both steel and plastic skate wheel models as well as 1.4 and now 1.9 steel roller models. These units now come with new options such as box stops, impact sections, axle restrictors(for smaller packages) an in-line couplers that will allow you to make these long enough to load or off load and entire 60 foot trailer.
Ongoing & Completed Projects
Our 3PL clients are continuing to show growth and are keeping us bust with changes and enhancements to existing equipment as well as adding to new facilities
We have just been awarded with a contract to replace some aging equipment in a large GTA distribution center for a very large retail outlet
A well known denim company was so satisfied with some emergency service we provided that they have asked us to provide them with an on-going maintenance package
One of our large automation partners have given us the go ahead to provide them with a pallet handling system that they will integrate into a robotic picking system
A well known apparel retailer has just ordered the second set of replacement spiral belt conveyors, they were so satisfied with phase 1, awarding phase 2 was an easy decision
This same retailer has also asked us to upgrade their existing conveyor equipment with some new Motor Driven Roller conveyor
A well known office supply house has awarded us with the opportunity to provide them with a new picking line in Quebec
We have recently been awarded a very large mechanical installation contract in Quebec, we expect to be on that project for many months
Our reseller network has been extremely busy especially in Quebec
One of our American integrator partners has again reached out for modifications to an existing system here in Ontario
We have just renewed a preventative maintenance contract for the sixth straight year

Our used equipment has been very active with one of the recent purchasers stating that they could not believe this is used equipment
We still maintain a large assortment of good quality used equipment available for sale at tremendous savings. Included in this used equipment inventory is a significant amount of used 24″ nominal width line shaft and 30″ nominal width slider bed conveyors. This used equipment is refurbished, providing the customer with a product comparable to new at a fraction of the cost. As well as cost savings, another benefit to incorporating used equipment into your projects is time savings. Most of this used equipment can be supplied much quicker than new due to the ongoing supply-chain delays. An example of this quicker turn around on used equipment is a recently completed project that consisted of used line shaft equipment that we had on hand and that we were able to supply and deliver to our customer on the East Coast within a 6 week timeline.
