WELCOME to the fourth and final edition of What’s Happening At Wecon Systems “WHAWS” newsletter for the year 2022.

The school bell has rung and the kids are back in class. Back to playing with their peers in the school yard, back to sitting next to each other during lunch break and trading “the good snacks”, back to the closest thing we have had to a normal school year for our children in over two years!

After the sense of unsteadiness that this year began on, it’s a wonderful feeling to be looking towards the end of 2022 with a sense of excitement for what 2023 is going to bring and a feeling of gratitude for all that our team has overcome.

We remain grateful to our customers for your continued belief and support in our team to make your material handling requirements a reality. To our partners and suppliers; we know that the struggle is ongoing with supply chain issues and delays. Your continued communications and transparency with our team have allowed Wecon to schedule projects accordingly; providing realistic deadlines and real time updates to our customers.

A night to remember

In August the Wecon family got together to celebrate Wecon System’s 25th anniversary. It was a great evening full of good food, live music, wonderful friends & colleagues and hilarious walks down memory lane! Without our dedicated employees, reliable suppliers and our loyal customers this would never have been possible, thank you for your continued support!

Ongoing & Completed Projects

• We have completed an installation project which has provided the customer with a more efficient sorter and pick mod system. Our field team was on site on the West Coast through to the decommission and turnover phase; working with local sub-contractors where necessary to complete the new system installation in a timely manner.

• Our team will be installing a massive 500 foot long platform at a Canadian sportswear & equipment retailer’s warehouse & distribution facility. This project has a start date of January 2023; it will involve erecting the platform during operating hours while the customer continues to perform their daily tasks. As well as the logistical details involved with working on this scale of a project, our team is also ensuring that additional attention is given to the safety procedures that will be implemented during the installation phase.

• Wecon’s engineering department and shop team have worked together, using equipment modules from our suppliers, to design and build a demonstration unit that showcases the services and equipment that Wecon provides.

• Wecon’s sales team continues to hit the pavement, providing steady customer quotations and securing new and used equipment projects on a daily and weekly basis.

• Wecon’s fabrication shop continues to remain busy with the production of conveyor systems, specialty handling equipment and customized solutions.

We still maintain a large assortment of good quality used equipment available for sale at tremendous savings. This used equipment is refurbished, providing the customer with a product comparable to new at a fraction of the cost. As well as cost savings, another benefit to incorporating used equipment into your projects is time savings. Most of this used equipment can be supplied much quicker than new due to the ongoing supply-chain delays.
